Verisk Claims Solutions provides data, analytics and technology that help insurers, claims handlers and other organisations manage insurance claims more efficiently and accurately. Its solutions support the claims lifecycle, from assessing damage and estimating repair costs to identifying potential fraud, evaluating liability, automating workflows and supporting regulatory compliance. By combining specialist insurance expertise with advanced analytics and AI, Verisk Claims Solutions helps customers improve decision-making, control claims costs, streamline processes and deliver better outcomes for policyholders.

We're looking for a Data Integration Developer to build data feeds, exports and migrations that move data reliably between our insurance claims systems and data lake.

Working within a team of six Developers, you'll contribute to a major data migration and modernisation programme.

Ideal for someone who enjoys untangling messy real-world data, proving it has arrived complete and accurate, and making data processes simpler and more consistent.

  • Support ETL processes and help define and apply ETL standards
  • Build data migrations with automated reconciliation testing
  • Investigate production data issues, finding and fixing inconsistent records
  • Refresh and prepare realistic, protected data for test environments
  • Onboard new customer data feeds and build data exports
  • Work within the SDLC using Git, Jira and CI/CD pipelines
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, code reviews and data investigation

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong SQL skills in SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Experience building or supporting ETL processes, data feeds or data migrations
  • Programming or scripting experience
  • A methodical, detail-oriented approach to tracing and resolving data problems
  • A love of technology and a desire to keep learning

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with large, complex or mixed-quality datasets
  • Working with APIs and file formats such as JSON and CSV
  • Data warehouse development
  • Python
  • AWS data services, such as AWS Glue, Aurora or DynamoDB
  • GDPR and information security awareness
  • Experience within Insurance, Claims, Fraud or Financial Services
