Our Social Housing client is undergoing a significant data transformation and looking for an experienced Data Project Manager to lead the delivery of a business-critical Data Lakehouse programme and wider data governance initiatives.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile programme, influence its direction and work closely with senior leadership, technical teams and external partners to deliver meaningful change.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Data Lakehouse and data governance projects.
- Establish project scope, governance, delivery plans, milestones and risk management frameworks.
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, technical specialists and external suppliers.
- Support discussions around data architecture, technology platforms and implementation approaches.
- Manage cross-functional project teams, resources and competing priorities.
- Engage senior stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, manage expectations and build confidence in programme delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience delivering complex data platform, Data Lakehouse or data transformation projects.
- Strong technical understanding of data platforms and technologies such as Azure, AWS, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience managing technical suppliers and working closely with data engineering teams.
- Strong project governance, planning, risk management and delivery skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
Experience within social housing would be highly desirable, although we’re equally interested in candidates from other regulated environments, including utilities, healthcare and the wider public sector.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, bringing people together and turning data strategy into successful delivery.
