Job Title: Data Migration & Integration Lead
Location: US/ Remote
Type: Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Data Migration & Integration Lead with deep expertise in the Warranty Domain. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business processes and technical execution. You will lead the end-to-end data migration strategy, architecture, and integration efforts to transition legacy data into modern warranty management platforms.
The ideal candidate possesses strong functional knowledge of warranty lifecycles combined with hands-on technical capabilities in data mapping, ETL pipelines, and API integrations. Prior experience with specialized warranty solutions like Siebel Warranty, Syncron, or Mize is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Architecture: Define and execute the comprehensive data migration and integration strategy, ensuring data integrity, minimal business disruption, and alignment with target system architectures.
- Functional Alignment: Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex warranty rules (e.g., claims processing, supplier recovery, extended warranties, service contracts) into technical specifications.
- Data Mapping & ETL: Lead the data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and mapping from source legacy systems to the target warranty platform.
- Integration Design: Architect and develop robust, scalable real-time and batch integration workflows (APIs, middleware, ESB) connecting the warranty solution with ERP, CRM, and supply chain systems.
- Technical Leadership: Guide a team of data engineers and developers, managing the migration schedule, risk assessment, and cutover planning.
- Validation & Testing: Establish strict data validation frameworks and reconciliation protocols to ensure 100% data accuracy post-migration.
Required Technical & Functional Skills
- Domain Expertise: Strong functional understanding of the Warranty Domain, including claims management, warranty registration, parts returns, recall campaigns, and financial accruals.
- Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience or deep technical familiarity with leading warranty solutions—ideally Siebel Warranty, Syncron, or Mize.
- Data Migration & ETL: Proficiency with enterprise ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage) and advanced SQL for complex data manipulation.
- Integration Technologies: Strong experience designing and implementing REST/SOAP APIs, Web Services, and middleware technologies (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Data Factory).
- Data Modeling: Solid understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and data warehousing concepts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of total IT experience, with at least 4+ years acting as a Lead across large-scale data migration or system integration projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering techno-functional solutions within the automotive, manufacturing, or heavy equipment industries (where complex warranty structures exist).
- Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical data structures to business users and vice versa
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
