EQUANS is looking for a Data Migration Lead Developer to join our team. This is a full time, 12 month FTC role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, as the role is primarily home-based. However, the successful candidate will be expected to travel to London and Newcastle to support business needs.
The UK ERP and E-Proc Programme is a UKBU wide business led SAP S/4HANA ERP transformation programme delivering a suite of best-in-class technology solutions, best practice processes and new ways of working. The programme is a significant investment and includes four core workstreams; Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report (R2R) and Projects.
The high-level goals of the programme are to move to a single new UK SAP S/4HANA ERP platform, working with Coupa, Palantir and Synapse to simplify and digitalise business processes and to leverage business improvements as a consequence. This will ensure an improved user experience for all employees, that the business remains highly competitive, and that business risk is mitigated.
What will you deliver?
The Data Migration Lead Developer will play a pivotal role in delivering the UK ERP and E-Procurement finance transformation programme by designing, building, and operating the data factory responsible for migrating data from multiple source systems into the new SAP S/4HANA and eProcurement environments.
This role involves working closely with SAP specialists, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality data cleansing, transformation, and migration. The successful candidate will also support data quality analysis to focus cleansing efforts effectively and lay the foundation for ongoing data governance in the finance and procurement domains.
- Lead the technical development and operation of the data migration factory, implementing migration specifications and data mappings
- Manage one data analyst who will contribute to achieving the overall data migration team goals
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to provide data quality analysis, prioritising cleansing efforts to meet migration deadlines and quality standards
- Produce and manage key deliverables including Data Management Plans, Data Definitions, Migration Specifications, Data Reconciliation Reports, and Cutover Plans
- Engage with stakeholders across business units to understand data challenges and ensure the migration solutions meet business requirements
- Establish practices that contribute to future data governance frameworks within finance and procurement domains
What can we offer you?
On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefit package, which includes;
- 25 days annual leave (+ public holidays)
- Life Cover equivalent to 2 times annual salary
- Employee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers
- Gym membership discounts
- Cycle to work scheme
- Holiday purchase scheme
- 2 corporate social responsibility days per year
- Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmes
- Attractive Employee Referral Rewards Scheme
- Access to our growing employee networks
- 24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing app
Who are you?
- Proven experience in data migration and development within ERP transformation projects, preferably SAP S/4HANA
- Hands-on experience with data factory development, data cleansing, and data quality analysis (for example use of Palantir, AWS, Power BI or other similar tools)
- Familiarity with finance and procurement data landscapes and associated systems
- Strong technical skills in data mapping, migration specification design, and data reconciliation
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams in many locations is desirable
- Ability to work in a complex, matrixed organisation with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
