🚀 Data Platform Engineer | Tokyo | Hybrid

We’re hiring a Data Platform Engineer to join a global technology company in Tokyo. You’ll work on building and improving scalable data platforms that support data-driven products and business operations across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms
• Work with large-scale datasets and data warehouses
• Integrate data across multiple systems and cloud environments
• Improve data quality, reliability, and availability
• Contribute to data architecture and data modeling
• Investigate and resolve complex data and production issues
• Collaborate closely with engineering and international teams

Requirements

• Professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or a similar role
• Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or above)
• Business-level English
• Strong SQL and relational database experience
• Experience with data pipelines, data warehouses, or large-scale data processing
• Experience with Python
• Experience working with at least one major cloud platform
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with data governance, master data, or data quality
• Experience with AI/ML-related data systems
• Experience with search or information retrieval technologies
• Experience with cloud-based data integration tools
• Experience working with large-scale data integration projects
