As a Data Platform Manager, working in Milwaukee, WI, you will lead the evolution of Molson Coors' enterprise data platform, driving the strategy, engineering excellence, and operational maturity of our Databricks ecosystem. This role combines people leadership with hands-on technical expertise, offering the opportunity to guide a team of engineers while shaping scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that power critical business capabilities across revenue management, supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
This role reports to the Senior Manager Data Platforms & Engineering and works closely with process owners, product owners and business users to help accelerate innovation through modern data engineering practices, platform automation, and cloud-native technologies that enable analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision making across the enterprise
What You’ll Be Brewing:
- Most importantly, lead a team of talented colleagues and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations.
- Serve as a hands-on technical leader and trusted advisor, providing architectural direction, engineering oversight, and best-practice guidance to engineering teams across the organization.
- Build and support large-scale data processing capabilities that enable real-time and batch data ingestion, analytics, reporting, machine learning, and operational decision-making across the enterprise.
- Oversee the development, scaling, and optimization of data pipelines from internal and external sources, ensuring high levels of data quality, availability, and performance.
- Develop tools and services that improve data discovery, lineage, governance, resiliency, security, and privacy compliance across the data platform.
- Define and build out DevOps capabilities, including automated testing, CI/CD deployment pipelines, monitoring, observability, and infrastructure automation to improve reliability, speed of delivery and operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operation of the Databricks platform, ensuring the environment is scalable, well-governed, and optimized for enterprise workloads.
- Drive adoption of data engineering standards, architectural principles, and operational best practices that improve platform stability, quality, and engineering effectiveness.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, and technology partners to enhance platform capabilities and support evolving business and technical requirements.
- Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of modern data products and solutions that support key business capabilities across revenue management, supply chain, manufacturing, commercial, and other strategic functions.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and data science teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, prototype new approaches, and implement solutions that improve the efficiency, scalability, and performance of the data ecosystem.
Key Ingredients:

- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, data mathematics, or related field OR equivalent experience (4+ years).
- You have at least 8 years of experience in cloud data architecture, data and ML engineering.
- You have experience managing and developing engineering teams while remaining hands-on as an active contributor and technical lead, ideally including product owner responsibilities.
- You have at least 8 years of overall technology experience that includes at least 6 years of hands-on software development, data engineering, and systems architecture.
- You have at least 5 years of experience with Data Lake Infrastructure, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics tools; hands-on Databricks experience is strongly preferred.
- You have experience applying DevOps and DataOps principles.
- You have experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.
- You have strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- You have strong analytical and data modeling skills.
- You have a deep understanding of database technology and analytic platform data use.
- You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of business priorities.
- You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.
- You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow.

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.
Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $126,500.00 - $166,100.00 (posting salary range) + 15% target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
