This role is how we deliver senior privacy expertise into our Italian and wider European client base, and how we grow the practice from within the market itself.

The Work

Lex Dinamica is a consulting firm that provides Privacy, AI and Risk solutions. Our advisory, technology and DPO services help clients address regulatory challenges worldwide and deliver compliance-driven value.

Our clients range from FTSE 100 companies and global multinationals to government contractors and high growth scale ups, and they come to us for advisory work, DPO support delivered as a service, AI governance, and privacy technology programmes including OneTrust, where we are a certified implementation partner.

The Data Privacy Manager role sits at the senior end of our privacy consulting practice. You will lead client engagements independently, advise at board and general counsel level, and act as a senior voice within a firm that has clients across Italy, Europe, and beyond.

The Role

In this role, you will:

• Lead privacy consulting engagements from scoping through delivery
• Advise senior client stakeholders on GDPR, cross border transfers, and adjacent regulatory topics
• Serve Italian and European clients, drawing on your regional expertise
• Contribute to the growth of our practice as a senior individual contributor

In practice, that means owning a portfolio of client engagements as a senior specialist, and being the person clients trust to steer them through the harder privacy questions.

You will lead privacy consulting engagements. Scoping, planning, delivering, and closing engagements across our client base. You will be the day to day face of Lex Dinamica for the clients you serve.

You will advise at senior levels. General counsels, Chief Privacy Officers, boards, and the executives who need to make decisions with regulatory implications and want a trusted voice in the room. You will explain what matters, what does not, and where the real risk sits.

You will design and implement privacy programmes. Policies, controls, ROPAs, DPIAs, DSAR processes, vendor governance, and the operating machinery that turns regulatory obligation into something the business can actually run.

You will serve Italian and European clients. Your presence in the Italian market gives us local expertise and language coverage where clients need it. Where your Italian is strong, you will be the natural voice for those accounts.

You will contribute to how we work. Our practice is growing, and the people who join at this level will help shape the methodologies, templates, and ways of working that we take to every future client.

Who We're Looking For

Must haves

• Meaningful experience in privacy consulting or a comparable advisory role, whether at a professional services firm, a law firm, or a specialist privacy consultancy. We will assess on the strength of what you have delivered rather than the number of years.
• Depth in GDPR, with the ability to make judgement calls in ambiguous situations rather than reaching for the rulebook every time.
• Practical experience delivering privacy programmes to clients, including scoping, design, implementation, and post go live support.
• A genuine interest in privacy, AI governance, and the wider compliance technology space.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English. You can advise a board, brief a general counsel, and translate a complex regulatory concept for a non technical audience.
• A right to work in Italy.

Nice to haves

• Fluency in Italian. With Italian, you will be the natural point of contact for our Italian clients and can work directly in their language across engagements.
• Additional language capability beyond English and Italian.
• A recognised privacy credential such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or a legal qualification in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Working knowledge of the Italian data protection landscape, including Garante guidance and the interaction between GDPR and national law.
• Familiarity with OneTrust or comparable privacy technology platforms.
• Exposure to AI governance work, including the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, or ISO 42001.
• Sector depth in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, or public sector.
• Consulting experience at a professional services firm, a Big Four, or a privacy specialist firm.
• A relevant degree in a field such as Law, Business, Politics, Information Security, or similar.

Working With Us

This is a remote role, based in Italy. You can work from wherever in the country makes sense for you, with occasional travel for team moments, client work, and partner meetings where being together adds something real.

Working remotely with a small specialist firm means more autonomy and more responsibility than the same role at a bigger employer. You will not be left alone, but you will be expected to manage your own time, communicate proactively, and treat your delivery as your own.
