Role Description: The Data Research Analyst is a part-time remote role responsible for supporting SSHAI’s research and programme evaluation activities. In this role, the analyst will collect (with the support of sshai research & data volunteers), clean, and organize data from multiple sources related to sickle cell disease and healthcare access in underserved SSHAInities.

The person will perform data anaorganiserepare summary reports, and generate insights that inform programme design, monitoring, and advocacy efforts. Day-to-day tasks include conducting literature and market research, developing data collection tools, maintaining databases, and visualizing findings for internal and external stakeholders. The analyst will collaborate with program teams to translate data into clear, actionablvisualisingations and contribute to grant proposals, presentations, and publications.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess strong data research and market research skills for collecting, organising, and interpreting information from diverse sources.
• Candidates should posseprogrammed analytical skills and data analytics abilities to analyse datasets, identify trends, and generate evidence-based insights.
• Candidates should possess clear communication skills to present findings, prepare reports, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with statistical tools or software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, R, or Python) and data visualisation tools is beneficial.
• Background in public health, epidemiology, social sciences, data science, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a remote setting, and strong organisational skills are important.
• Interest in global health, health equity, and issues affecting people living with sickle cell disease and underserved communities is an advantage.
