Experience: 8–10+ years
Contract: 12 Months
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in e-commerce, digital advertising and product experimentation to drive data-led decision-making and improve customer experiences. You will analyse large, complex datasets to understand buyer behaviour, identify commercial opportunities and evaluate product experiments. Working alongside product and engineering professionals, you will use Python, statistical analysis and experimentation methodologies to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, customer behaviours and opportunities for product improvement.
- Design, execute and evaluate product experiments, including A/B testing and hypothesis-driven analysis.
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to support product analytics and feature recommendations.
- Assess market opportunities, purchasing trends and buyer interactions across digital platforms.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product development.
- Provide business intelligence, data visualisation and dashboard support.
- Independently investigate analytical questions and deliver insights between experimentation cycles.
- Leverage AI tools and automated analytical frameworks to improve efficiency and accelerate insights.
Essential Requirements – Non-Negotiable
- E-commerce experience: Previous experience in e-commerce, specifically working with digital advertising platforms or major retail businesses.
- Advertising and experimentation: Strong domain knowledge of advertising and practical experience with experimentation methodologies.
- Hands-on individual contributor: Proven ability to independently drive complex analytical projects from investigation through to actionable recommendations.
- Relevant experience: 8–10+ years in data science, product analytics or a closely related field.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience analysing large and complex datasets.
- Excellent statistical analysis, hypothesis testing and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
- Experience integrating analytics with machine learning infrastructure to automate product feature recommendations and validation.
- Familiarity with AI-powered analytical tools, multi-agent frameworks and automated workflows.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related discipline.
Please note: This is a hands-on product data science role focused on analytics, experimentation and commercial insights. It does not involve backend software engineering or production model deployment.
If you have strong e-commerce and advertising expertise and enjoy using experimentation and data to influence product decisions, we would like to hear from you.
