Data Scientist

You will be working with a Fintech company in Kontich as a Data Scientist, using advanced analytics and machine learning to uncover insights, improve financial decision-making and develop data-driven solutions that deliver real business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement statistical models and machine learning solutions for fintech use cases such as credit risk, fraud detection, customer segmentation, forecasting and financial performance analysis.
• Analyse structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities that support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Develop predictive models using Python, machine learning and statistical techniques to solve real-world financial challenges.
• Build and optimise data pipelines, analytical workflows and model deployment processes to ensure reliable, scalable and efficient solutions.

Your Profile

• 2–5 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or a similar quantitative role.
• Strong Python programming skills, with practical experience using libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn and, ideally, XGBoost or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of statistics, probability, predictive modelling and machine learning techniques.
• Experience working with SQL, large datasets and data processing pipelines.
• Proven ability to develop, validate and deploy machine learning models or analytical solutions into production environments.
