Data Scientist / AI Engineer – Azure & Microsoft Fabric

Our client, a leading public sector organization focused on employment services, is looking for a consultant to drive the development of an advanced matching engine. The role focuses on designing and activating AI-driven solutions to connect job seekers with professional opportunities using modern cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the matching engine and its data pipelines for ingestion, indexing, and semantic search.
• Implement fuzzy matching logic, scoring systems, and reranking algorithms to optimize result relevance.
• Deploy and manage cloud environments including containerized applications and API exposures.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, monitoring frameworks, and security protocols for data solutions.
• Validate engine performance through rigorous testing protocols and data quality assessments.
• Document technical architectures and perform knowledge transfer to internal technical teams.
  
  

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in data science and AI development using Python.
• 1+ years of experience with cloud-native data platforms including Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with containerization and application hosting using Docker and Azure App Service.
• You possess knowledge of semantic search indexing and fuzzy matching methodologies.
• You have experience setting up CI/CD and monitoring within cloud environments.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented with a focus on knowledge sharing.
• You have an active knowledge of French or Dutch.
