WE ARE HIRING : Database Administrator Location: Colombo (Hybrid) | Type: Full-Time, On-Call Compensation: Salary paid in USD + Benefits Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of mission-critical databases supporting global aviation operations. The role involves managing Oracle, MySQL, and other databases while collaborating with engineering teams to drive optimization and scalability. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Oracle, MySQL, and other databases in production and development environments. Monitor, analyze, and tune databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability. Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Troubleshoot database issues and provide on-call support for critical incidents. Work closely with engineering teams to design, optimize, and refine database schemas. Ensure database security and compliance with best practices. Requirements: Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 3 years experience as a Database Administrator. Strong expertise in Oracle and MySQL administration. Solid knowledge of performance monitoring, tuning, and HA/DR strategies. Familiarity with Linux environments, cloud database platforms, and database security. Advantageous: experience with PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, or cloud DB services. Why Join Us?
