Your Role

Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and open up the opportunity to shape the very foundation of the technology that drives our world. You’ll be in good company amongst our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization—experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely.

In this role, you’ll manage and administer the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You will act as the architect of the system, shaping its base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success, scalability, and security of our business operations.

What You Will Do

• Optimize systems: Configure, install, and maintain database management systems to ensure our infrastructure is always running at peak performance.
• Set security protocols: Manage user access and implement rigorous policies to protect our valuable data from unauthorized access and external threats.
• Plan ahead: Conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage to ensure our systems effortlessly scale to meet evolving business needs.
• Make progress: Act as a strategic partner, collaborating with various teams to coordinate systematic project plans that align with broader organizational goals.
• Generate ideas: Propose and implement enhancements that improve system performance and reliability, enabling the delivery of world-class services to our customers.
• Be ready to recover: Develop and maintain strong backup and recovery plans so our systems remain protected in the event of a failure.
• Support solutions: Leverage your technical acumen to support end-users and application developers in solving complex problems related to our database and infrastructure systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven implementation and management experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016.
• Hands-on administrative and operational experience with VMware ESXi.
• Strong background in public and private cloud management, with specific expertise in executing on-premise to cloud migrations.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Hands-on automation experience, particularly within Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments.
• Practical knowledge of enterprise vulnerability management and mitigation strategies.
• Experience integrating on-premise AD FS (Active Directory Federation Services) with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and/or Azure AD.
