YOUR ROLE We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) with 3–5 years of experience to join an infrastructure team dedicated to the management, maintenance and optimization of Oracle and/or IBM DB2 databases.The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring the reliability, security and performance of corporate database environments , working both on production systems and in support of development activities, while collaborating with different technical teams . RESPONSIBILITIES Perform routine and extraordinary monitoring of database instances , ensuring service continuity . Install , configure , upgrade and patch Oracle and/or IBM DB2 environments . Support database migration and configuration activities. Manage backup and recovery activities and support Disaster Recovery processes . Perform periodic backup and restore tests . Analyze and optimize database, query and index performance. Configure and optimize system parameters . Manage data security, access controls, privileges and auditing activities. Collaborate with development teams on data model definition and SQL/PL-SQL code optimization . Provide second- level support for the management and resolution of incidents and performance issues . Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of anomalies . Automate operational and repetitive activities through scripting. REQUIREMENTS 3–5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in similar roles . Excellent knowledge of Oracle Database, preferably versions 12c, 19c or later . Experience with Oracle RMAN for backup and recovery activities. Knowledge of high- availability Oracle architectures , such as Oracle RAC and Data Guard. Ability to write and optimize PL/SQL procedures . Knowledge of IBM DB2 in Linux, UNIX, Windows (LUW) and/or Mainframe z/OS environments . Familiarity with the main DB2 tools and utilities, including db2pd, db2top, RUNSTATS, REORG and LOAD/IMPORT. Knowledge of backup, restore and log management activities in DB2 environments . Knowledge of high- availability DB2 architectures , such as pureScale or HADR. Good knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server operating systems. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, PowerShell or Python for task automation . Familiarity with the main networking and storage concepts related to database environments . Good knowledge of technical English, approximately B1/B2 level . PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in complex enterprise and mission- critical environments . Experience managing databases in highly available and reliable environments . Knowledge of additional database administration technologies and tools. Experience automating DBA activities through scripting. Knowledge of monitoring and performance management tools. Oracle and/or IBM DB2 certifications . WHAT WE OFFER The proposed compensation includes a gross annual salary (RAL) between €40,000 and €45,000 , depending on experience and skills.
