✝️ About the Role

The Deacon role at Christcord Church is a servant leadership position focused on supporting the practical and spiritual needs of the church body. Deacons are appointed to help maintain the health, order, and care of our community, ensuring that everyone is seen, supported, and spiritually nourished.

Deacons serve under the spiritual oversight of pastors and executive leadership, assisting in various ministry functions such as member care, hospitality, volunteer support, and digital event hosting.

This role is ideal for spiritually mature, humble believers with a heart for service and community building.

🧭 Responsibilities

• Assist in caring for members through check-ins, prayer, and presence

• Help maintain peace and order in chat channels, voice groups, and events

• Support new member onboarding and community integration

• Coordinate or assist with volunteer tasks, events, and ministry activities

• Report concerns, prayer needs, or pastoral care situations to leadership

• Model Christlike character, unity, and compassion in all interactions

🕒 Time Commitment

This is a volunteer role requiring approximately 3–6 hours per week, depending on the needs of the community and assigned ministry areas.

✅ Qualifications

• A mature, growing relationship with Jesus Christ

• Known for humility, integrity, and a servant's heart

• Active participant in Christcord or similar ministry environment

• Good communicator, attentive listener, and team player

• Committed to Christcord’s inclusive values and theological convictions

• Comfortable with digital tools (especially Discord), or willing to be trained

Note: You do not need to be ordained to serve as a deacon. This is a servant-leadership office grounded in New Testament principles (Acts 6, 1 Timothy 3) and adapted for a digital setting.
