The Role Every real estate transaction has a moment of truth: the closing. It is where trust deposits become commission cheques, where agents finally get paid, and where a deal officially crosses the finish line. This role sits right in the middle of all of it. On our Deal Closing team, you make sure money moves correctly, on time, and to the right place. You work closely with our Deal Administrators, agents, cooperating brokerages, and lawyers to keep trades closing cleanly and commissions flowing without friction. This is specialized, knowledge-based work: precise, fast-paced, and genuinely consequential for the people on the other end of every transaction. Small team, real ownership, builder culture. You report into the Deals Closing team lead and partner closely with our Deal Administrators day to day. What You'll Own Bank activity, commission payments, EFTs, and wire transfers are recorded accurately with correct dates, so trust balances reconcile cleanly. Payouts go out correctly and on time: Back to Vendor, Return of Deposit, garnishment, and commission cheques and EFTs, issued without errors. Incoming trust deposits and wire transfers are processed promptly, with receipts issued to agents as required. Trades close cleanly. You use our internal tools to spot deals ready for payout, follow up on closing confirmations, and bring trades to completion without loose ends. Agents, cooperating brokerages, and lawyers get clear, fast answers on payment status because you are their point of contact. Cooperating brokerages are paid within 7 days of closing, every time, because you and the Deal Administrator team stay in lockstep. Trust account reconciliations for our clients are accurate and current, and final trade sheets are verified before filing, so nothing slips through. What We're Looking For 3-4 years of real estate experience , ideally with closing or transaction exposure, in brokerage accounting, trust accounting, or a similar finance/admin role. Strong grasp of trust accounting, commission structures, deposits, payouts, and deal flow, and how money movement affects the transaction. Familiarity with RECO, REBBA, and Ontario brokerage trust requirements. Speed and accuracy together, plus strong attention to detail. You catch what others miss. The ability to juggle multiple deals without dropping any, and to take ownership without being prompted. Toronto-based and able to work hybrid, in-office at least 3 days a week. Nice to have Experience in a high-volume brokerage or multi-office environment. Comfort picking up new systems quickly. General accounting experience, or hands-on experience with lonewolf or comparable brokerage/trust and deal-accounting software and bank/trust reconciliation.
