Job title: Deal Origination Analyst — Broker & Owner Sourcing Location: 100% remote; candidates must be based in the United States or Canada and available during North American business hours Employment: Full-time Salary: US$70,000–$85,000 base salary, plus an annual performance bonus of up to US$15,000, depending on ability and experience. Everis is hiring an early-career analyst to build the pipeline of businesses we may acquire. You will research markets and companies, build relationships with brokers, contact owners, qualify opportunities, do initial analysis, and hand the strongest deals to our acquisition team with clear notes. This is a sourcing and relationship role, not a traditional investment-banking role. Your main responsibility is high-quality deal flow. You will see evaluation, diligence, and transactions, but the deal team owns complex modelling, diligence, negotiation, and execution. Why join Everis Work directly on acquisition strategy and see how a lead becomes a serious opportunity. Speak with brokers, advisers, founders, and owners while learning what makes a business attractive and why owners sell. Research varied industries, use modern AI and sourcing tools, take ownership quickly, and grow into broader acquisition responsibilities. About Everis Everis is an AI-native business group started by successful technology founders. We acquire small internet businesses and apps, improve them, and operate them for the long term. We believe exceptional people, strong systems, and AI can build an unusually effective company. What you’ll work on Broker and intermediary relationships Find and build relationships with relevant brokers, advisers, marketplaces, and other deal sources. Stay in regular contact, understand what they have coming to market, and follow up consistently. Screen brokered and marketplace opportunities against Everis’s criteria and surface the strongest ones quickly. Owner sourcing and outreach Build targeted lists of businesses and owners that may fit our criteria. Find and verify decision-maker contacts, then run thoughtful outreach by phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and other relevant channels. Hold initial conversations, understand each owner’s goals, and follow up professionally over what may be a long cycle. Research and qualification Understand what each business does, how it makes money, who its customers are, and what makes it defensible. Gather high-level information on revenue, profit, growth, recurring revenue, customer concentration, owner involvement, asking price, sale motivation, and timing. Assess fit, prepare short opportunity briefs and notes, and coordinate a clean handoff to the deal team. Pipeline ownership and improvement Keep the acquisition CRM accurate, including contacts, source, stage, notes, next action, financial snippets, risks, and follow-up dates. Track outreach, responses, meetings, qualified opportunities, handoffs, and funnel progression. Provide concise weekly reporting. Use evidence and AI tools to improve research, outreach, recordkeeping, and the sourcing methods that produce the best opportunities. What we’re looking for Smart, curious, and able to understand unfamiliar businesses quickly. Excellent spoken and written communication; you can sound credible with experienced brokers and owners without finance jargon. Comfortable making cold calls, sending outbound messages, hearing no, and following up. Highly organized and reliable, with accurate notes and strong follow-through. Strong research judgment and basic financial and commercial literacy, or the ability to learn quickly. High integrity and care with confidential information. Comfortable with spreadsheets, CRM systems, research databases, and AI tools. Motivated, proactive, resilient, and able to work without constant supervision. Zero to three years of professional experience. Relevant sourcing, sales, research, brokerage, consulting, or entrepreneurial experience is useful but not required. What we offer US$70,000–$85,000 base salary plus an annual performance bonus of up to US$15,000. 100% remote work from the United States or Canada. Direct exposure to founders, brokers, owners, and real acquisition opportunities. Meaningful responsibility early, with a path into senior deal origination, acquisitions, or broader operating work. If you want to learn how great businesses are found and directly help build Everis’s acquisition pipeline, we’d like to hear from you.
