Ibotta is seeking a Decision Scientist to join our Publisher Insights team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As a Decision Scientist, you will be responsible for providing actionable insights to drive either the Direct to Consumer Marketing team or the Strategic Partner Management team’s decision making and strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals across multiple analytics and business disciplines. This position leverages the latest developments in statistics, modeling, and testing methodologies to understand the business and our customers on an in-depth level to support and challenge strategic options. You will build state-of-the-art analytical and BI tools for our diverse set of stakeholders.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

Here is what you will be doing:
Work directly with other Analytics team members as well as the Strategic Partner Development/ Business Development, Consumer Marketing, User Acquisition and our Communications marketing teams in analyzing customer behavior and trends to uncover key actionable insights about Ibotta users
Analyzing performance trends to uncover key, actionable insights to enable our business to grow
Collaborate with other teams from a wide variety of functions including Finance, Revenue/ Sales, Product Engineering, Machine Learning and other Analytics disciplines
Provide thought leadership and insight on performance metrics, attribution methodologies and consumer statistics such as LTV:CAC and churn
Run statistical analysis and create predictive models based on past user purchases and behavior
Design, execute, and analyze controlled experiments to determine the impact of new approaches and performance of our tactics
Produce concise and impactful presentations of data and insights to Marketing and company leadership, condensing complex topics and findings in a clear and concise fashion
Represent the Marketing department on company wide data related task forces. Be vocal and represent our stakeholders needs as well as communicate back key learnings, findings or procedures
Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide insightful reporting and dashboards along with automating workflows and self serve analytics solutions
Automate workflows and data pipelines for to enable quicker insights

What we are looking for:
3+ years of real world work experience in an analytical function. Experience with Marketing (Consumer or B2B), Retail/ CPG or a related industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics or a related field required
Understanding of general business concepts. Experience with consumer marketing tactics and concepts (examples include Customer Long Term Value and lifecycle, User Acquisition and Retention) OR in the Retail/ CPG Industries preferred
Technical experience and proficiency working with:
Data analysis tools and languages (e.g., Databricks, SQL, Python/R, Pyspark, Spark, Git/GitHub, Excel/ Google Suite)
BI & other visualization tools (e.g., Looker)
Creating customer facing slide presentations conveying complex data in compelling, simple formats
Marketing Specific or Web/App related analytical tools and such as Google Analytics, Mobile Measurement Platforms
Data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes including data exploration, wrangling and cleaning/ preparation for analysis
Working productively integrating AI into analytics workflows
Experience in building accurate and performant forecasting and data modeling including:
Time series modeling, forecasting and seasonality
Predictive models to drive strategic business decision making
Classification modeling and techniques of personalizing customer experiences
Proficient in applied statistical analysis methods, experimental design, and hypothesis testing
Experience collecting, delivering and analyzing large, multi‐dimensional data sets
Excellent communication skills, including development of data summaries, visualizations and other storytelling methods
Are an intellectually curious, conceptual thinker who uses creative or abstract problem-solving skills to measure obscure outcomes, or diagnose difficult issues.
High level of attention to detail and drive for accuracy
Proven success in leveraging the tools and analytical approaches above to generate business value

Additional Details:
This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals.
Base compensation range: $89,000 - $101,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
