About the Role

SmarTek21 is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing end-to-end technical oversight, operational execution, and financial governance across multi-account client engagements spanning software engineering, cloud infrastructure, enterprise integrations, and managed services, while leading distributed onshore and offshore delivery teams to drive client satisfaction, delivery excellence, and gross-margin profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across software engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, enterprise integrations, and managed services engagements.

  • Review solution architectures, technical estimates, dependencies, and implementation approaches to guarantee solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and supportable.

  • Guide cross-functional teams in adopting modern engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, reliability, and structured release management.

  • Own end-to-end delivery performance across multiple client accounts, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, risk registers, and executive client satisfaction.

  • Translate Statements of Work (SOWs) into comprehensive delivery plans with defined milestones, resource staffing plans, clear governance protocols, and acceptance criteria.

  • Manage engagement financial operations, resource utilization, forecasting, and gross-margin performance while proactively mitigating budget slippage or margin deterioration.

  • Lead and develop distributed delivery teams utilizing onshore and offshore resource models, balancing technical complexity, cost optimization, and delivery risk.

  • Serve as the primary executive escalation and delivery contact for client stakeholders, leading governance cadences, quarterly service reviews, and recovery plans.

  • Partner with Sales and Solutions teams on RFP/RFI responses, pre-sales estimates, SOW authoring, commercial assumptions, and strategic account expansion.

  • Evaluate and integrate AI tools, automated testing frameworks, and process automations to continuously optimize team delivery velocity and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7+ years of overall experience in technology, including 5+ years leading technical delivery across multiple projects or enterprise client accounts.

  • Demonstrated experience in an IT services, consulting, systems integration, or managed services environment.

  • Strong engineering or architecture foundation, with deep subject-matter expertise in at least one technical domain and broad working knowledge across application development, cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise integrations.

  • Demonstrated ownership of engagement financials, including budgeting, staffing models, resource utilization, and delivery profitability (P&L/gross margins).

  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring geographically distributed teams across onshore and offshore delivery models.

  • Deep working knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks, DevOps practices, SDLC governance, and production support operations.

  • Demonstrated capability to evaluate, challenge, and validate technical estimates, solution architecture decisions, and implementation assumptions.

  • Proven experience in executive stakeholder management, conflict resolution, technical escalation management, and troubled account turnaround/recovery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience delivering enterprise solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms and SaaS ecosystems such as ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.

  • Practical experience implementing AI-enabled solutions, automation frameworks, or managing complex enterprise security and compliance requirements.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
