Delivery Manager, Home Insurance

  • Permanent full-time role
  • Location Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane

Help shape and deliver a portfolio of initiatives that creates measurable outcomes for customers, the business and our people.

We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the delivery performance agenda for Home Claims Customers within Suncorp’s Consumer Insurance business.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience & Enablement, you’ll shape and execute the program of work, bringing disciplined delivery, critical thinking and innovation to a diverse portfolio of initiatives. You’ll ensure work is effectively prioritised, governed and delivered to achieve measurable customer, operational, risk and commercial outcomes.

Through the leadership of Delivery Leads and close collaboration with business sponsors, Tribe Product Owners and enterprise partners, you’ll improve portfolio transparency, strengthen delivery confidence and embed benefits realisation through to closure and handover.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the Home Claims Customers delivery performance agenda, ensuring program initiatives achieve measurable customer, risk, operational and commercial outcomes.
  • Shape initiative scope and value as Product Owner, using critical thinking to test assumptions, manage trade-offs and confirm delivery readiness.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery across planning, implementation, business readiness, benefits realisation and sustainable handover into business-as-usual.
  • Own portfolio health, capacity, risks, issues and dependencies, providing early insights and recommendations to support confident senior decision-making.
  • Identify, test and scale innovative delivery practices, digital opportunities and process improvements that simplify execution and improve performance.
  • Lead and coach a high-performing team of Delivery Leads, balancing demand, capacity and capability development while setting clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Influence Tribe Product Owners, business sponsors and enterprise partners to align priorities, resolve blockers and accelerate customer and business outcomes.
  • Oversee Action Plans and Audit Actions, applying strong governance, risk discipline and evidence-based closure across the portfolio.
  • Connect teams to purpose and create a clear line of sight between customer outcomes, commercial value and priority business outcomes.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional decisions with accountability, pace and sound judgement, balancing innovation, risk appetite and sustainable performance.
  • Use insights, metrics and feedback loops to learn quickly, adapt and clearly communicate performance impacts.
  • Challenge existing ways of working, remove barriers and scale digital, data and process improvements.
  • Build trusted enterprise relationships and influence across customer, business, partner, risk and executive forums.
  • Create an inclusive, future-ready environment where diverse thinking, experimentation, wellbeing and high performance are actively supported.

What you’ll bring

  • At least eight years’ experience in financial services, insurance, claims, customer operations, delivery or another regulated environment.
  • Significant experience leading delivery, transformation, governance or operational performance portfolios within a large, regulated organisation.
  • A proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage trade-offs and deliver measurable customer, operational, risk and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience leading delivery teams, specialist resources or enterprise initiatives in complex, customer-facing environments.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, insight and governance discipline, with the ability to prioritise work, manage risk and improve delivery confidence.
  • Experience embedding innovation, continuous improvement and performance discipline across cross-functional, onshore, offshore and partner teams.
  • A tertiary qualification in business, project or program management, transformation, technology or a related discipline is desirable.

Your key capabilities

You’ll be an outcome-led leader who can align teams, priorities and delivery effort to measurable results. You’ll also bring:

  • Strong critical thinking and judgement, including the ability to test assumptions, navigate ambiguity and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Portfolio performance and prioritisation expertise, using insights to focus effort, strengthen delivery confidence and realise measurable benefits.
  • A practical approach to innovation and continuous improvement, with the ability to test and scale better ways of working.
  • Experience leading concurrent initiatives with clear planning, governance, dependency management and sustainable handover.
  • Strong risk and governance discipline, including early identification of risks, issues and dependencies and evidence-based closure.
  • Executive-level influence and communication skills, with the ability to translate delivery, risk and performance data into clear recommendations and decision-ready reporting.
  • The ability to work effectively with business sponsors, Tribe Product Owners, offshore teams and enterprise partners.
  • Inclusive people leadership skills, with a focus on coaching, capability development, accountability and sustained performance.
