About us
At Healthdirect Australia, we help Australians access trusted health information, advice and care through our national virtual health services.
We are a government-owned, not-for-profit organisation. Our services are fast and easy to access through helplines, video calls, apps and websites, and support Australians at every stage of life, wherever they live and at any time of day or night.
About the opportunity
We are seeking a Delivery & Resourcing Lead to manage delivery planning and resourcing across our Insights Division.
Reporting to the Head of Analytics & Reporting, you will lead delivery planning and resourcing across Analytics & Reporting and Enterprise Data Services, alongside managing the Business Analyst. You will oversee incoming work, agree priorities with stakeholders and maintain a single sprint plan and Jira board, ensuring a clear view of capacity to meet business-as-usual and project demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and simplify the front door to Insights, including prioritisation forums, so requestors understand the status of their work and the trade-offs involved
- Triage demand using AI-assisted analysis, agree priorities and delivery expectations, and make sure work is well defined and ready before commitment
- Maintain one live delivery and resource plan across Jira and Replicon, keeping demand, estimates, allocations and forecasts in sync
- Maintain the forward sprint and capacity view across BAU, projects, leave and overhead, replanning as priorities change
- Run Jira delivery ceremonies and maintain the board, ticket standards and queue health
- Manage timesheet integrity, project codes, contractor utilisation, budgets and schedules
- Act as the Insights Project Workstream Lead for corporate and Insights-led projects, coordinating schedules, dependencies, blockers and status reports
- Maintain productivity and utilisation measures, using AI-assisted reporting to surface exceptions and prompt action
- Build AI capability and delivery practice across the division through coaching, clear standards and practical support, and lead and develop the Business Analyst
About You
You are an experienced delivery leader who brings structure and clarity to complex, multi-stakeholder environments with competing priorities. You are comfortable facilitating prioritisation and making trade-offs visible, you build strong relationships across teams, and you use AI as an integral part of your professional practice with sound judgement and quality assurance of its outputs.
What you’ll bring to the role
- At least five years’ experience in delivery management or a project or portfolio environment, with resource planning and scheduling responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience leading people, setting clear accountabilities and supporting performance and development
- Proven Agile delivery management experience, including sprint planning, ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation, capacity management and Jira administration
- Experience managing demand, resource allocations and time-recording data across BAU and project work, using systems such as Jira and Replicon
- Demonstrated use of AI as an integral part of professional practice, including sound judgement, quality assurance of outputs and capability building
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including delivery metrics and dashboards that drive decisions
- A tertiary qualification in information technology, business, commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Desirable: experience in data, analytics or insights delivery; health or government sector knowledge; project governance frameworks including stage gates; experience managing contractors; performance measurement frameworks; Agile certification such as Scrum Master or SAFe
