Your Role with Metcash

• Partner closely with the Group Company Secretary across all aspects of the Company Secretariat function.
• Lead subsidiary governance across the Metcash Group, taking ownership of entity governance, statutory compliance, corporate records and governance frameworks across a large and complex group.
• Support Board and Committee meetings through high-quality papers, resolutions and minutes.
• Provide practical governance advice to senior leaders across the business.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, restructures and other strategic corporate initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement across governance frameworks, systems and processes.
• Coach and support junior Company Secretariat team members, contributing to a collaborative, high-performing culture.

What You’ll Bring
• Extensive experience across Company Secretariat, Corporate Governance or Corporate Legal functions.
• Experience supporting listed companies or large, complex corporate groups.
• Strong knowledge of the Corporations Act, ASIC requirements and ASX governance obligations.
• Expertise in subsidiary governance, statutory compliance and corporate record management.
• Confidence engaging with Boards, Committees, Executives and external advisers.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to identify governance risks and improve processes.
• Experience with governance systems such as Diligent and CAS360 will be highly regarded.
