Are you ready to revolutionise the world with TEKEVER?

At TEKEVER, we lead innovation in Europe as the European leader in unmanned technology, where cutting-edge advancements meet unparalleled innovation.

Digital | Defence | Security | Space

We operate across four strategic areas, combining artificial intelligence, systems engineering, data science, and aerospace technology to tackle global challenges — from protecting people and critical infrastructure to exploring space.

We offer a unique surveillance-as-a-service solution that delivers real-time intelligence, enhancing maritime safety and saving lives. Our products and services support strategic and operational decisions in the most demanding environments — whether at sea, on land, in space, or in cyberspace.

Become part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and mission-driven team that is transforming maritime surveillance and redefining global safety standards.

At TEKEVER, our mission is to provide limitless support through mission-oriented game-changers, delivering the right information at the right time to empower critical decision-making.

If you're passionate about technology and eager to shape the future — TEKEVER is the place for you.

Mission:

TEKEVER is seeking an Airworthiness Engineer to join our growing UK Airworthiness team. For your first six to nine months you will focus on the regulatory approval of one of our tactical uncrewed aircraft systems for international customers and UK defence: working with the Head of Airworthiness and alongside design, systems and test engineers, you will help define what each regulator requires and build the certification evidence that shows the aircraft meets it. Beyond that, the role grows into wider certification and airworthiness work across TEKEVER's UK products. The role suits an engineer with hands-on certification experience who learns quickly, takes ownership, and wants to build a career in airworthiness in a fast-moving technology business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help define the certification basis and build compliance matrices against each regulator's UAS requirements, including the proposed means of compliance.

  • Contribute evidence to operational safety cases built on the SORA methodology.

  • Produce compliance evidence with design, systems and test engineers, including analyses, compliance reports, test plans and test reports.

  • Support the Head of Airworthiness in preparing submissions to civil and military aviation authorities and responding to their queries.

  • Keep certification records and status reporting accurate, so that progress and risk are visible to the programme.

  • Over time, take on certification work for further TEKEVER products and help improve how the team plans and delivers certification.

  • Over time, assess the airworthiness impact of design changes and support their classification.

  • Support TEKEVER's path towards design organisation approval, helping develop procedures, training and internal audits.

Qualifications, Experience & Commitments

  • Essential: A degree or equivalent qualification in aeronautical, aerospace, mechanical, electrical/electronic or another relevant engineering discipline.

  • Essential: Typically 2+ years' experience in an aerospace engineering role, including hands-on certification or compliance work, for example producing analysis or test evidence to show compliance with a certification code or regulatory requirement.

  • Essential: Understanding of how aircraft certification works, for example under UK or EASA Part 21.

  • Essential: Clear technical writing, with experience producing engineering or compliance documentation.

  • Preferred: Experience with uncrewed aircraft systems, including UK CAA requirements for UAS.

  • Preferred: Experience of SORA or specific-category UAS operational authorisations.

  • Preferred: Experience working within a design organisation, for example under an approved Part 21J organisation or MAA DAOS.

  • Preferred: Exposure to UK military airworthiness regulation (MAA Regulatory Publications).

  • Optional: Professional registration (CEng or IEng), or active progress towards it.

  • Security Vetting: Due to the nature of our Defence contracts, all applicants must be eligible to hold and willing to undergo the vetting process for UK SC level Security Clearance.

  • Travel: Willingness to undertake occasional national and international travel to TEKEVER sites (UK, Portugal, US, Europe) and to customers and regulators.

Skills & Attributes

  • Learns quickly and gets up to speed on a new product and regulatory context.

  • Methodical, with high attention to detail in requirements, traceability and records.

  • Clear, precise writer, able to set out a compliance argument for engineers and regulators.

  • Takes ownership of tasks, works independently, and knows when to ask for guidance or escalate a risk.

  • Collaborative across disciplines, confident to ask design teams for evidence and to question it constructively.

  • Pragmatic, applying the right level of process for the risk.
