Design Director

Role Description The Design Director is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Design Director will oversee end-to-end design direction for IPAZ’s brand presence, including visual identity, digital assets, event materials, and collateral for stakeholder communications. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing design projects, briefing and coordinating with designers or agencies, reviewing and approving design concepts, and ensuring consistency with IPAZ’s brand guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with leadership to translate strategic objectives into clear design requirements, providing guidance on user experience and product design aspects of IPAZ initiatives, and maintaining high standards of quality across all architectural and construction-related visuals, if applicable to events or physical spaces.

Qualifications

• Strong design management and leadership skills, with experience overseeing multidisciplinary design projects.
• Proficiency in branding, including development and stewardship of visual identity and brand guidelines.
• Experience in product design and related digital or print design deliverables.
• Knowledge of architecture and the ability to coordinate or interpret construction drawings when needed for physical spaces or events.
• Advanced skills in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or similar).
• Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment, collaborating effectively with remote and on-site stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Design, Architecture, Visual Communication, or a related field; leadership experience in a design-focused role is highly beneficial.
