Premiere Systems specializes in A/V, lighting, shading, automation, and networks. We are seeking an experienced AV Design Manager to lead our design department and oversee the development of complete, coordinated system designs for high-end residential and commercial projects. This remote position combines hands-on AV system design with team leadership, technical oversight, and process improvement.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and develop the design team through coaching, training, and performance.
- Oversee design designs and documentation, ensuring drawings, scopes of work, and material, are accurate and complete.
- Collaborate across Sales, Project Management, and Operations to deliver coordinated, buildable solutions.
- Maintain design standards and processes to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Review and approve designs for technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable requirements and profitability.
- Manage team workloads and rive improvements to keep projects on schedule and continuously improve department performance.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in the A/V or Control Systems industry.
- Prior experience leading or managing a design, engineering, or technical team strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction practices and the ability to interpret architectural and electrical drawings.
- Experience with system design and coordinating technical solutions across sales, project management, and installation teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining technical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
