Design Technician (Remote) – 3D Roof Modeling, CAD, Roofing & Solar Design

We are hiring a remote Design Technician to create 3D roof models, CAD-based house structures, roof measurements, and solar designs using modern digital design tools. This is a fully remote position with training provided, ideal for candidates interested in CAD, drafting, 3D modeling, solar design, roofing design, or construction technology. Training is provided.

📍 Remote Work + Shift Requirements

This is a remote-only role. Candidates must be available for one of the following shifts (EST):

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST, or

• 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST

A reliable laptop and stable internet connection are required. This location is perfect for Latin American candidates.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D roof models and full exterior house geometry using CAD-style tools.

• Produce roof measurement reports (facets, pitches, slopes, ridges, valleys).

• Build solar panel layouts following design standards and code-based setbacks.

• Interpret aerial imagery, maps, and measurement data to ensure high accuracy.

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and design QA teams.

• Deliver fast, consistent, high-quality design output.

⭐ Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn new digital tools quickly.

• Good understanding of basic geometry, measurements, and spatial reasoning.

• Experience with CAD, drafting, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or 3D modeling is a plus — not required.

• Reliable, self-managed, and comfortable working in a remote environment.

• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
