Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Electrical Design to lead electrical engineering and design delivery across large-scale Data Centre developments in Finland.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing electrical design teams, overseeing technical delivery across all RIBA Stages (0–7) and acting as a key client-facing representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical design teams across hyperscale Data Centre projects.
• Oversee electrical design delivery across RIBA Stages 0–7, from initial concept and feasibility through detailed design, construction and handover.
• Act as the primary client-facing electrical design lead, managing relationships with developers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Oversee MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear and critical power infrastructure.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across electrical, mechanical, CSA and BIM teams.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, calculations and design documentation.
• Manage design programmes, technical deliverables, project budgets and resource allocation.
• Attend and lead client meetings, technical workshops and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Finnish regulations, European standards and project requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in electrical design leadership within Data Centres or mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience delivering projects across all RIBA Stages 0–7.
• Strong client-facing experience within an engineering or design consultancy.
• Technical knowledge of critical power, MV/LV systems, UPS, generators and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
