Is this job info correct?

Aquavato is a sourcing, specification, and procurement studio powered by EMCO Corporation. We guide selections upstream, validate the details, and keep procurement controlled—so professional clients move faster without compromising accuracy, margin, or project intent. We’re defined by the client experience: thoughtful, seamless, and reliably handled. Our clients don’t come to browse. They come to get it right. We’re hiring a Senior Studio Consultant who can be equal parts technical expert, trusted advisor, and calm guide. You’ll work directly with interior designers, project managers, and procurement teams to translate sourcing support into fully coordinated plumbing packages—then drive decisions through to purchase with confidence. This is not transactional sales. This is specification leadership. Who Thrives Here This role is for someone who gets genuine satisfaction from making things feel effortless for other people. You notice what’s coming before it arrives. You don’t wait to be asked. You build trust by removing decisions, preventing mistakes, and making clients feel cared for—not managed. If hospitality is your default setting and your technical mastery is a point of pride, you’ll feel at home here. Qualifications Designer Advisory + Specification (up-front guidance + sourcing support) Spot recurring friction in sourcing/spec/procurement workflow and bring practical solutions to management to continuously improve how the studio runs and feels for clients and our team. Partner with design and procurement teams early—often before selections are finalized—to guide the specification with thoughtful sourcing support. Review spec books, plans, and finish schedules to catch gaps, conflicts, missing components, and lead-time risks before they reach site. Source and propose refined options (valves, trim, accessories, tubs, towel warmers, saunas, etc.) aligned with design intent, budget, and availability. Build complete, coordinated packages, and provide alternates when needed—protecting the vision while maintaining schedule and feasibility. Education + Relationship Building (clients + interns + studio presence) Teach designers and project teams how to present plumbing selections with confidence—giving them the language, selling points, and rationale to defend the full spec (not just the hero faucet) and earn client buy-in. Advise clients on pricing structure to protect margin, maintain project control, and reduce downstream risk (contractor bypass, substitutions, delays) Train studio interns and new team members on brand standards, product knowledge, and technical fundamentals—raising the quality of studio support Create and participate in studio events (launches, trainings, spec sessions, designer education), helping position Aquavato as a trusted resource for considered plumbing guidance Support occasional content capture (product walk-throughs, training clips, behind-the-scenes) that reinforces vendor partnerships and the studio experience Meet regularly with vendor partners to stay current on product updates, and bring them into client meetings when needed to confirm technical fit, timelines, and availability—so decisions move forward cleanly Requirements 7+ years in plumbing products, showroom sales, technical specification Strong ability to manage multiple projects at once without dropping details Clear written and verbal communication (email, quotes, scope notes, calls, presentations) Comfortable working with call sheets, CRM, and quote-to-close process Genuine interest in interior design Availability for client appointments and studio events How We Support You Your role stays client-facing and high leverage: you’ll build trust, remove friction, and move projects forward—often before the client even realizes they need it. Behind you, a Project Liaison and Warehouse Team protect the experience. Sales support includes a Project Liaison who manages post-sale execution including logistics coordination, project schedule tracking, cancellations/returns, and warranty inquiries. The result is a seamless, hospitality-led journey—so you can stay focused on relationships, decision relief, and revenue. Backed by EMCO Aquavato is powered by EMCO Corporation—over 120 years in Canada. You’ll have access to a dynamic, diverse team that fosters entrepreneurial thinking, deep product education, proven systems, and a National Support Center designed to support the field—so you can move faster, solve problems cleanly, and keep growing in your profession. Expected first-year earnings: CA$90,000+ Base salary: $70,000. Commission paid on GP dollars. This role inherits an established client portfolio and has meaningful runway to grow through outreach and relationships. EMCO is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a discrimination, harassment, and barrier free workplace where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
