Desktop Publishing DTP Specialist

Global Impact Group LLC / Global Language System is seeking a DTP Specialist to prepare translated FSA materials for publication. This role preserves the design and usability of publications, forms, fact sheets, infographics, and other content as text changes across languages.

Responsibilities

● Place translated content into supplied templates and native design files, including Adobe InDesign and Illustrator files.

● Adjust layouts for text expansion while preserving content, visual hierarchy, and FSA branding.

● Recreate publication elements or graphics when a project provides only a PDF or another noneditable source.

● Check fonts, links, images, tables, page flow, and consistency against the approved translation.

● Package native files, linked assets, and final output in the format specified for each assignment.

● Coordinate with translators, reviewers, and accessibility specialists to resolve production issues.

Qualifications

● Professional DTP experience with multilingual documents.

● Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Microsoft Word.

● Experience preparing print and digital PDFs and organizing complete native-file packages.

● Careful attention to content accuracy, layout quality, and version control.

● Experience with complex-script languages and accessible document production preferred.

● Education: Associate degree or certificate in graphic design, desktop publishing, visual communication, or a related field, or equivalent portfolio-backed experience.
