Overview
We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on and remote technical support for end users across the organization. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 issues while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting Windows environments, end-user devices, account administration, and IT infrastructure in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support for Windows-based workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and business applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues for local and remote users.
- Document, track, prioritize, and manage support requests through the ticketing system while maintaining detailed resolution notes.
- Deliver remote support using approved remote access tools and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Support Microsoft 365 environments including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and user account administration.
- Perform user onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, access management, and environment configuration.
- Assist with equipment deployments, workstation setups, office moves, and new office infrastructure installations.
- Troubleshoot networking issues including file sharing, drive mapping, wireless connectivity, network adapters, routers, and basic LAN/WAN support.
- Manage and support file-sharing platforms, collaboration tools, and Microsoft Teams environments.
- Implement and monitor security controls including password management, endpoint security, antivirus protection, and security reporting.
- Coordinate shipment, deployment, and inventory management of IT equipment for remote employees.
- Participate in IT projects including technology rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and documentation efforts.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff and management as needed.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to improve support processes and user experience.
- Follow up with end users to ensure successful resolution of support issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a backup resource to the Technical Support Manager when required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Desktop Support, IT Support, Help Desk, or End User Computing environments.
- Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and end-user support.
- Experience with Active Directory, user account administration, password resets, and access management.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking, wireless connectivity, file sharing, and drive mapping.
- Experience working within a ticketing system and following ITIL-based support processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Teams administration and collaboration technologies.
- Exposure to endpoint security, antivirus management, and compliance controls.
- Experience supporting remote and hybrid workforces.
- Familiarity with office infrastructure, cabling, and workstation deployments.
- Experience participating in IT infrastructure or system implementation projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
