The Position Title Development Officer Reporting to Development Officer, Team Leader Place of work Hybrid – Dublin City Centre Contract Type Full-Time / Permanent Role (subject to 6 months' Probation) Salary Approx. €45,000 DOE Co-operative Housing Ireland ABOUT US Co-operative Housing Ireland is the national organisation representing, promoting and developing co-operative housing in Ireland. Since our foundation in 1973 we have provided over 5,700 homes through homeownership, shared ownership and social rented co-operatives. As an Approved Housing Body (AHB), we work with various stakeholders in the housing sector, including Local Authorities, Government, aspiring homeowners, tenants and developers. We currently manage over 6,708 properties across Ireland. Role: Co-operative Housing Ireland is seeking a full time “Development Officer” to join our New Business Development division. The Development Officer will work 35 hours work per week, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 and report to the Development Officer, Team Leader. The Development Officer will be based in our Blanchardstown Office, located at The Generali Building, Navan Road, Dublin. The Development Officer will actively contribute to Co-operative Housing Ireland’s development projects from beginning to completion. The primary role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders to secure funding for projects. The Development Officer will play a role from the introduction of a new development to Co-operative Housing Ireland, right through to completion and the handover of homes to member tenants. The Development Officer will play a key role in maintaining Co-operative Housing Ireland’s commitment to Ireland’s housing needs. Duties and Responsibilities: Co-ordinate and collate all documentation required for Funding applications, including valuation reports. Complete loan applications to the Department of Housing, the Housing Finance Agency and other lending institutions Develop and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of external stakeholders, including lenders, local authorities, the Housing Agency, etc. Provide administrative support to Co-operative Housing Ireland’s Management Team on current/future development projects. Manage all project and pipeline folders, including maintaining Pamwin software system. Prepare summary reports on potential/new development projects for relevant internal stakeholders. Liaise with all internal departments within Co-operative Housing Ireland, including Finance, Policy & Communications, Housing Services & Community Engagement etc. on any issues that may arise in relation to project progress. These duties are a general guide to the responsibilities of the Development Officer. They are neither definitive nor restrictive. The post-holder may be required to undertake other duties as directed. Requirements: Impeccable attention to detail. Track record of achievement in a similar role. Experience in accounts, lending, banking or similar role. Knowledge of Approved Housing Bodies and/or the charity sector is desirable. Strong communicator – verbal, written and presentation skills. Exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience. Outstanding I.T. skills, particularly MS Office suite. Well organised and capable of multitasking. Permission to work in Ireland.
