Devop Engineer

Employment type: 16 weeks Volunteer, unpaid, with a potential transition to a paid agreement based on performance

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud‑based infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities:

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation.

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.

• Manage configuration using tools like Ansible or Chef.

• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate using ECS or EKS.

• Set up monitoring and logging using AWS CloudWatch.

• Implement security best practices for AWS environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

• Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

• Coordinate software releases with effective rollback procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AWS services and solutions.

• Experience with IaC using tools like AWS CloudFormation.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation.

• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration (ECS, EKS).

• Skills in configuration management with Ansible or Chef.

• Understanding AWS security best practices.

• Proficient in monitoring and logging using AWS CloudWatch.

• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
