DevOps Engineer

ooba is looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining modern, scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and enhancing cloud-based deployments. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with deep technical knowledge, a passion for efficiency, and a collaborative mindset. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment workflows. Monitor software performance, troubleshoot errors, and develop proactive system reliability solutions. Manage cloud infrastructure and optimize for cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance . Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation . Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments and resolve technical challenges. Automate routine tasks and system operations to enhance team productivity. Implement and maintain security best practices , including automated compliance and secure code delivery. Support observability practices by integrating monitoring, alerting, and logging into all stages of delivery. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of API gateway configuration, artifact management, and build orchestration is a plus. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions preferred). Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar. Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK). Strong scripting capabilities in languages such as Python or Bash . Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.Experience with cloud platforms , preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS or GCP also valuable). Exposure to DevSecOps or experience integrating security into the CI/CD process. Experience working in Agile environments and understanding of Agile software delivery practices.
