Job Description

The ACI Card and Merchant Management (CMM) product line provides industry-leading solutions that enable financial institutions to manage transactions across the card payment lifecycle. Our products are used by card acquirers, issuers, and organizations connected to global payment networks such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, and JCB.

As an DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes that support the CMM product suite. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about automation, cloud technologies, continuous improvement, and delivering reliable, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable software delivery.
• Assist in automating deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational processes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot development, test, and production environments.
• Work with engineering teams to improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives and configuration management.
• Participate in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and problem resolution activities.
• Support containerized and cloud-based deployments using modern DevOps practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
• Collaborate within Agile teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to improve engineering productivity, automation, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, System Administration, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and willingness to take ownership of tasks and challenges.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently when required.
  

Experience with:

• DevOps principles and practices.
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Automation tools for build, test, deployment, and operational processes.
• Cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Source control systems such as Git.
• Basic database knowledge, preferably Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
• Scripting or automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
• Monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools.
• Interest in adopting emerging AI technologies to drive efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies to improve productivity and code quality.
• Ability to apply AI solutions to software development, testing, automation, operational workflows, and problem resolution.
• Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies.
• Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible, or equivalent automation platforms.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, or EFK.
• Familiarity with Oracle or DB2 databases.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, security concepts, and cloud-native architectures.
  

Highly Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting payment processing or financial services applications.
• Knowledge of card payment networks including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, or JCB.
• Understanding of payment industry concepts and transaction processing workflows.
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
• Passion for automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve engineering efficiency through automation and AI-driven solutions.
