DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer - Permanent (large focus on hardware)

Location - South Holland

Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team and play a key role in supporting the development and deployment of cutting-edge technology solutions. This position is ideal for an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong hardware and Linux background who enjoys working close to development teams and helping drive automation and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will work across on-premises infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and future cloud migration initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Support software development teams with CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and optimisation.
• Automate application and product deployment processes.
• Manage and maintain on-premises infrastructure and environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and hardware-related issues.
• Support GPU-based environments and workloads, including performance troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with the company's long-term transition from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-based solutions.
• Implement infrastructure best practices, monitoring, and automation tooling.
• Contribute to platform stability, security, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience:

• 4-5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration.
• Proven experience working with bare metal infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting hardware environments.
• Experience working with GPU-based infrastructure and diagnosing performance issues.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

Desirable Experience:

• Public cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitoring and observability platforms.
