Senior DevOps / Kubernetes Engineer

Location: Mexico – Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Kubernetes Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes, AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), GitOps, CI/CD automation, and Infrastructure as Code.

The ideal candidate must have experience with AWS EKS and OCI OKE, preferably including migration projects from AWS EKS to OCI OKE. This role focuses on building, automating, maintaining, and troubleshooting highly available, scalable, cloud-native production environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and production workloads.
  • Manage deployments using Helm, Argo CD, and GitOps practices.
  • Support cloud infrastructure across AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Participate in AWS EKS to OCI OKE migration projects.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
  • Manage secrets using External Secrets Operator and cloud-based secret management solutions.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes, networking, infrastructure, and production issues.
  • Improve system reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and production support.
  • Collaborate with engineering, platform, security, and application teams.


Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
  • AWS, particularly Amazon EKS.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), particularly OCI OKE.
  • AWS EKS to OCI OKE migration experience.
  • Argo CD and GitOps.
  • Helm.
  • CI/CD pipeline automation.
  • Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
  • External Secrets Operator.
  • Linux administration and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Production troubleshooting and incident management.
  • Monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
  • Understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, and load balancing.
