The role

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for independently implementing CI/CD automation and operational improvements while enabling reliable delivery and platform scaling. Working with moderate independence, the core purpose is to design and maintain deployment pipelines, operate containerized services, and improve system resilience through automation and monitoring.

This role designs and maintains CI/CD pipelines, deploys and operates containerized services, applies Infrastructure-as-Code practices, implements monitoring dashboards, improves system resilience and release predictability, and works closely with engineering teams on deployments.

What you'll be doing

• CI/CD Delivery: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that drive continuous delivery, from automated image builds through to GitOps-based deployment. Improve pipeline automation and operational readiness within your team's scope.

• Container & Orchestration Operations: Deploy and operate containerized services across a multi-cluster orchestration platform, working with core components such as ingress, certificate management, secrets management, and managed data services.

• Infrastructure-as-Code: Apply Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration-management practices to manage cloud infrastructure across multiple providers, contributing to shared modules and following established patterns.

• Observability: Implement and maintain monitoring dashboards, metrics, and alerting. Troubleshoot issues using metrics, logs, and traces.

• System Resilience: Improve release predictability and resilience through automation, runbooks, backups, and load testing.

• Kubernetes Architecture: Architecting and operating Kubernetes workloads with expertise in cloud-native patterns.

Who we're looking for

• Solid hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers, and orchestration

• Working experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management

• Comfort with monitoring tooling and log/metric troubleshooting

• Scripting and automation skills

• Ability to execute independently within a defined scope

Experience and Skills:

• Typically 2–5 years of professional DevOps or cloud operations experience.

• Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (multi-cluster), and containerisation best practices (a must)

• Deployment tooling: Helm charts and Kustomize for templating and environment overlays

• GitOps & CI/CD: GitLab CI pipelines and ArgoCD-based continuous delivery

• Cloud platforms: Compute, networking, managed databases, object storage

• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager dashboards, metrics, and alerting; log/trace troubleshooting

• Secrets management: working with Vault, External Secrets, and KMS-backed secrets

• Edge & networking: Cloudflare DNS, CDN, and WAF basics

• Scripting & automation: Bash and Python

• Reliability practices: backups, runbooks, and load testing (k6)

• Microservices: understanding of microservice architectures and their deployment/operation (a must)

• Web hosting: solid knowledge of web hosting fundamentals - web servers, DNS, SSL/TLS, and PHP/CMS hosting (a must)
