DevOps Engineer - AWS Cloud & Architecture | Artificial Intelligence | CI/CD | Terraform

€75,000–€80,000 Base + Benefits | Hybrid in Dublin City Centre, 3 Days per Week in the Office

Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is expanding its Artificial Intelligence team and is looking for a DevOps Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to help deploy, scale and maintain AI-powered applications in AWS.

This is an opportunity to work with modern cloud infrastructure, contribute to architecture decisions and support the delivery of AI solutions used across a global business.

What You'll Be Doing:

• AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy and maintain scalable, secure and reliable cloud environments supporting AI applications.
• CI/CD & Automation: Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Infrastructure as Code: Use CloudFormation and Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Cloud Architecture: Contribute to infrastructure and solution designs, working alongside senior engineers and architects.
• AI Deployment: Support the transition of AI applications from development into production AWS environments.
• Monitoring & Security: Work with CloudWatch, IAM and AWS security practices to maintain reliable cloud operations.
• Disaster Recovery: Support backup, recovery strategies, high availability and platform resilience.
• Technical Documentation: Create architecture diagrams, operational documentation and technical playbooks.
• Collaboration: Work with engineering and business teams in an Agile environment to deliver cloud-based solutions.

What We're Looking For | Must-Haves:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or a related technical role.
• AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Strong practical experience deploying, managing and supporting AWS environments.
• AWS Services: Working knowledge of CloudFormation, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3 and IAM.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code: Practical experience with CloudFormation, Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Cloud & Solution Architecture: Experience contributing to cloud infrastructure design, scalable solutions and technical architecture decisions.
• Architecture Diagrams: Ability to create and maintain infrastructure and solution architecture diagrams.
• Python and/or Bash: Working knowledge of scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Git & Version Control: Experience using Git and source-control workflows.
• Docker & Containers: Familiarity with containerised applications and Docker.
• Security & Resilience: Understanding of IAM, cloud security, disaster recovery, backups and recovery strategies.
• Data Pipelines: Understanding of data pipelines and cloud-based data processing.
• Agile Delivery: Experience working within Agile software development teams.

Nice to Have:

• Stronger experience in Solution Architecture and cloud infrastructure design.
• Experience with AWS ECS, EC2, RDS and ELB.
• Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, LLMs or Generative AI applications.
• Experience supporting AI/ML workloads in AWS.
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in Financial Services or Hedge Fund Administration.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
