# Senior DevOps Engineer


## About the Role


Frontify is seeking a **Senior DevOps Engineer** to help maintain, improve, and evolve the infrastructure behind its SaaS platform. Working closely with R&D and other Engineering teams, you will investigate infrastructure issues, identify root causes, improve system reliability, and document relevant processes. You will also serve as a key technical contact for Europe\- and US-based teams on platform infrastructure matters.


This role combines **DevOps, cloud infrastructure, observability, SRE, security, and incident management**. The successful candidate will be comfortable working as an IT generalist in a fast-paced, distributed environment and will have the opportunity to help shape the role as Frontify continues to grow.


## Key Responsibilities


- Develop and maintain robust **monitoring and observability** frameworks for system performance, reliability, and early issue detection.

- Design, maintain, and improve **cloud infrastructure** using DevOps practices.

- Own and evolve incident management processes, including **on-call, postmortems, SLOs, and error budgets**.

- Manage and optimize **web servers, relational databases, and Linux-based systems**.

- Use **Docker** for containerization and manage orchestration platforms such as **Kubernetes or AWS ECS**.

- Build and maintain scalable and secure cloud solutions using **AWS**.

- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Security teams to streamline workflows, troubleshoot issues, and improve deployment processes.

- Implement and maintain infrastructure and deployment **security best practices**, including access management, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.

- Contribute to compliance with security standards and help foster a **DevSecOps** culture.

- Investigate infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and enable engineering teams to resolve them.

- Document relevant infrastructure and operational processes.

- Support Europe- and US-based teams with technical aspects of the platform.


## Required Qualifications


- **5+ years of experience** in a DevOps, Platform Engineer, or Systems Engineer role, ideally in a SaaS environment.

- Experience with **Nginx**, relational databases such as **MySQL**, including replication and performance tuning, and **Linux** systems such as Amazon Linux, CentOS, or Red Hat.

- Experience with **Docker** containerization and container orchestration and management, such as Kubernetes or AWS ECS.

- Experience with **AWS**, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, or OpenSearch.

- Experience with **Terraform** and infrastructure as code for scalable environments.

- Knowledge of **CI/CD pipelines** and automated build and deployment processes.

- Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as **Datadog or Grafana**.

- Experience applying **SRE principles**, including SLOs and error budgets.

- Experience with incident management processes, including conducting postmortems and driving improvements.

- Solid understanding of cloud and DevOps security practices, including **IAM, data protection, secrets management, and compliance considerations** such as ISO and GDPR.

- Experience working in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.

- Fluency in **English**.

- Knowledge of **Puppet configuration management**.
