Show job description

Devoteam Cyber Trust is the Cybersecurity specialist arm of the Devoteam Group. With our 800+ experts located across EMEA, we aim to establish cybersecurity as an enabler of business success rather than a gatekeeper. We leverage an end-to-end approach to Cyber Resilience, Applied Security, and Managed Security services to secure the tech journey of large and medium-sized companies from all sectors and industries.

Since 2009, previously known as INTEGRITY, our team based in Portugal is specialised in providing cutting-edge Managed Security Services that combine its expertise and proprietary technology to consistently and effectively reduce the cyber risk of our clients.

The comprehensive service range includes Persistent Intrusion Testing, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GRC Consulting and Solutions, and Third-Party Risk Management. ISO 27001 (Information Security) and ISO 9001 (Quality) certified, PCI-QSA, and member of CREST and CIS - Centre for Internet Security, we provide services to a considerable number of clients, operating in more than 20 countries.

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic cybersecurity transformation project focused on expanding an existing Cyber Defense Center into a 24/7 security monitoring and incident response capability.

The project involves deploying advanced security technologies, onboarding managed detection and response services, integrating with the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform, and establishing an effective operational model for continuous security operations.

You will coordinate multiple workstreams, external vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery within the agreed scope, timeline, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the integrated project plan across multiple workstreams, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Establish and manage project governance, including weekly status meetings, RAID logs, steering committee preparation, and milestone readiness.

  • Coordinate technology vendors, managed security service providers, and internal IT teams.

  • Track vendor deliverables, contractual commitments, acceptance criteria, deadlines, and change requests.

  • Drive the project critical path from solution design through pilot execution and production go-live.

  • Coordinate the integration of cybersecurity platforms with the existing ITSM environment.

  • Support the definition of the operational model, including escalation procedures, runbooks, and service handover.

  • Consolidate project status reporting for IT management, highlighting progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions required.

  • Ensure effective stakeholder communication and maintain accountability across all project participants.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in IT project management.

  • At least 5 years of experience leading complex, multi-vendor infrastructure or cybersecurity projects.

  • Proven experience delivering SOC, SIEM/XDR, or managed security service transitions.

  • Experience managing vendors under Statements of Work (SOWs), including deliverable acceptance, change control, and multi-party reseller arrangements.

  • Solid understanding of ITSM integration and security operations models.

  • Strong project governance, planning, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to hold vendors accountable while maintaining constructive working relationships.

  • Structured, hands-on approach and ability to remain effective under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM, Cortex XDR, or comparable cybersecurity platforms.

  • Familiarity with regulated environments, particularly pharmaceutical or GxP environments.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification.

What we offer:

  • Professional development and monitoring talent;
  • Commitment to our employees' development;
  • Collaboration in a company that is constantly growing and evolving;
  • Strong organisational culture: collaboration, sharing, flexibility, integrity and low ego.
