  • This experience is ideal for a student pursuing Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field who is interested in a career in digital advertising or marketing analytics. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a willingness to learn are essential. Previous Google Ads experience is helpful but not required.
  • Location: Mostly remote, with the ability to meet locally once a week. Interns must have access to their own laptop.
  • Schedule and time commitment:
    • 10 hours per week
    • Flexible schedule, with regular account monitoring throughout the week
    • Start date: Beginning of the January 2027 semester; exact dates coordinated upon acceptance of offer
  • Reports to: Marketing Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of PB414’s Google Ads account under the guidance of the Marketing Director.
  • Stay informed about Google Ads and Google Ad Grants policies and conduct regular account reviews to maintain compliance.
  • Monitor account health, policy notifications, and conversion tracking; address routine issues and communicate concerns to the Marketing Director.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop campaign goals that support PB414’s brands, initiatives, and mission.
  • Research keywords, write compelling ad copy, and create and launch campaigns that connect relevant audiences with opportunities to shop, donate, volunteer, and engage.
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns by refining keywords, search terms, geographic targeting, ad copy, bidding strategies, and budget allocation.
  • Gather and analyze advertising performance data, including impressions, clicks, click-through rate, conversions, conversion rate, and grant budget utilization.
  • Accurately enter relevant data into the organization’s Marketing Performance Dashboard on an agreed reporting schedule.
  • Identify trends and share clear insights and recommendations to improve advertising effectiveness.
  • Document campaign changes, maintain a compliance checklist, and prepare an end-of-semester summary and handoff to support continued account management.
