Digital Business & AI Specialist

In this role, you'll:

This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of digital transformation, AI and asset management. You'll work closely with business leaders to identify challenges, uncover opportunities and design practical solutions that improve how Transport manages assets, makes decisions and delivers services across NSW.

You will lead the development and implementation of AI-enabled and digital solutions that deliver real business outcomes. Rather than focusing purely on technology, you'll combine technical expertise, business understanding and stakeholder engagement to create solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen compliance and support better decision-making.

Working across a complex and evolving environment, you'll engage with a broad range of stakeholders, translating business needs into innovative digital, automation and AI solutions. You'll help shape how emerging technologies are adopted across the organisation while building digital capability and supporting teams through change.

About you

You're a commercially minded digital professional who enjoys solving complex business problems and turning ideas into practical outcomes. You bring hands-on technical capability, including coding experience, and have worked with AI, automation, digital solutions or emerging technologies to deliver meaningful business improvements.

You are equally comfortable working with technical specialists and business stakeholders, building strong relationships and bringing people on the journey when introducing new technology or ways of working. You can translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging and actionable insights that create value for the business.

You thrive in environments where priorities evolve, enjoy exploring new technologies and are motivated by continuous improvement. Your strong analytical skills allow you to identify opportunities, assess challenges and develop innovative solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
