Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

At NZ Post, we're investing in our digital future to make it easier for customers to connect, send and receive. As a Digital Business Analyst, you'll help bridge the gap between business needs, customer outcomes and technology solutions, ensuring our teams have the clarity and direction needed to deliver meaningful change.

This is a role for someone who enjoys getting to the heart of a problem. You'll work across business and technology teams to understand customer needs, uncover opportunities, and help deliver practical solutions. Some of the most interesting challenges come from navigating legacy processes, working through ambiguity, and connecting the dots across multiple systems and teams to ensure great outcomes for our customers. You'll play a key role in helping delivery teams understand what needs to be done, providing the right level of information for the right audience, and supporting the successful delivery of digital initiatives.

You'll Do That By

  • Working with stakeholders to understand business challenges, customer needs and opportunities
  • Facilitating workshops and conversations to define requirements and shape solutions
  • Translating requirements into user stories and delivery-ready artefacts for Scrum teams
  • Partnering across teams to understand end-to-end processes and identify dependencies and impacts
  • Supporting testing and validation activities to ensure solutions work across multiple systems and channels
  • Contributing to a collaborative, high-performing Scrum team focused on delivering customer value

Mōu - About You

You're a proactive problem solver who enjoys figuring things out, especially when there isn't a clear path forward. You build strong relationships, ask great questions, and aren't afraid to reach beyond your immediate team to find the information needed to move things forward. You thrive in environments where curiosity, initiative and collaboration are valued.

You'll bring experience working in Agile environments and understand how to support a Scrum team to deliver outcomes. You may already be working as a Business Analyst, or perhaps you've come from a testing, development, product or delivery background and are looking to further develop your analysis capabilities. Most importantly, you'll be a team player with a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine drive to make things better for our customers and colleagues.

You'll Combine That With

  • Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities
  • Confidence navigating ambiguity and tackling complex problems
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements
  • Strong communication, facilitation and collaboration skills
  • A technical background or understanding of software delivery would be an advantage
