Job Description

Digital Content Executive | Live Cultural Events | London | Permanent

Are you a digital content professional who loves bringing stories to life through video and social media? If you enjoy filming original content, editing engaging clips, and finding fresh ways to connect with audiences, this could be a great opportunity to combine your digital skills with a passion for arts, culture, and live entertainment.

Our partner: Our partner is an established international live spoken word events and entertainment business, creating memorable experiences that bring audiences closer to leading voices in culture, literature, entertainment, and the arts. Producing everything from intimate conversations and live podcasts to major theatre tours and digital events, the business operates internationally and offers a creative, collaborative environment where original ideas and engaging storytelling are valued.

Responsibilities:
  • Film original, mobile-first content at live events and with colleagues and contributors, to produce creative material for social media and wider marketing campaigns.
  • Transform footage from live events, internal teams and external videographers into polished short-form videos, adding captions, graphics and other finishing touches for different digital platforms.
  • Help manage social media channels across multiple brands, including scheduling, publishing, monitoring engagement and responding to audience enquiries where appropriate.
  • Write engaging social media copy, captions, scripts and website content, while preparing digital assets for organic and paid campaigns, including Meta advertising and YouTube.
  • Work closely with marketing and editorial colleagues to develop creative concepts, explore emerging content trends and ensure content is delivered to a high standard, on brand and on time.

Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role: The successful candidates will have a creative approach coupled with practical digital content production skills. You will be skilled at capturing content, editing footage into engaging social media assets, and managing a busy and varied workload. You will be happy working collaboratively whilst also being ready to work proactively and take responsibility for generating content and ideas.

Essential:
  • Experience creating digital content and managing or supporting social media channels.
  • Hands-on experience filming and editing engaging video content, particularly short-form video for social media.
  • Ability to produce original content independently, using a mobile phone or similar equipment.
  • A good understanding of social media platforms, video formats, captioning, accessibility, and digital content best practice.
  • Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
  • A creative eye, good editorial judgement, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across different teams.
  • Willingness to attend and film at events and, where appropriate, to appear on camera.
  • A genuine interest in arts, culture, literature, and live entertainment.
Desirable:
  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or similar professional video editing software.
  • Previous experience creating content within live events, publishing, entertainment, arts, or other editorial environments.
  • Experience editing multi-camera footage from live events.
  • Basic design skills using Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Some knowledge of motion graphics or animation software, such as After Effects or Blender.
  • Experience supporting online community management and audience engagement.

The opportunity: This is an opportunity to develop your digital content career within a creative business working across live entertainment, culture, and the arts. You will work independently to capture content at events, collaborate with high-profile contributors, and help shape how different brands connect with their audiences online. With a varied mix of filming, editing, social media, and campaign work, there is plenty of scope to bring your own ideas to the table, develop your skills, and see your content make an impact.
