About this role:

This is a flexible, remote, project-based Digital Forensics Analyst role supporting ISRM Group's forensic investigative services. This is a variable-assignment position with no guaranteed minimum hours, designed to work around your primary job or existing commitments — you select and accept only the assignments you want to take on. The Digital Forensics Analyst will conduct forensic examinations of digital devices, systems, and data to support investigations into security incidents, fraud, and compliance matters. Responsibilities include identifying, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence, reconstructing timelines of activity, and preparing clear, defensible findings for clients and, where required, legal proceedings. The role includes maintaining strict chain-of-custody procedures, using forensic tools to recover and analyze data from computers, mobile devices, and networks, and documenting methodologies and results in detailed technical reports. The individual will collaborate with case managers, legal teams, and clients as needed, working independently in a remote setting while meeting assignment deadlines and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in digital forensics methodology, evidence preservation, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Proficiency with forensic tools and software (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, X-Ways, or equivalent), and comfort working with complex technical and system-level data.
• Knowledge of computer systems, networks, mobile devices, and common data recovery and analysis techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a remote environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce reports suitable for non-technical audiences and, where relevant, legal review.
• Relevant education in Digital Forensics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., GCFA, EnCE, CFCE, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Experience working in professional services, risk management, law enforcement, or investigative environments is beneficial.
• Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to handling sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
