About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to join their Singapore team. This role focuses on providing regional financial oversight, intercompany management and full-cycle financial closing under US GAAP for their growing overseas operational entities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Close & US GAAP Reporting: Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for overseas subsidiaries in full compliance with US GAAP standards.
  • Intercompany & Cross-Border Accounting: Perform intercompany account reconciliations, track cross-border transactions, eliminate intercompany balances, and maintain accurate ledger data.
  • Foreign Exchange & Multi-Currency Management: Perform monthly multi-currency ledger entries, balance sheet revaluations, and FX variance analysis across international entities.
  • Vendor & Account Reconciliations: Review external operational accounts, reconcile supplier schedules, clear aging items, and resolve invoice or settlement discrepancies.
  • System Administration & Archiving: Post journal entries, manage data integrity, and run financial workflows in Oracle ERP while maintaining standardized digital audit trails.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate regularly with overseas business operations, internal finance partners, and external service providers to ensure audit readiness.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in US GAAP financial reporting and cross-border entity accounting.
  • System Proficiency: Hands-on operational experience using Oracle ERP (or similar enterprise systems such as SAP or NetSuite).
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles, multi-currency accounting and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Language Proficiency: Working proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required to effectively collaborate with their internal cross-border teams, regional business partners and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
  • Attributes: Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and the ability to operate independently within a multi-country setup.


This is a fully remote role.
