Stanford's Graduate School of Business (GSB) has built a global reputation based on its immersive and innovative management programs. We provide students a transformative leadership experience, pushing the boundaries of knowledge with faculty research, and offering a portfolio of entrepreneurial and non-degree programs that deliver global impact. We invite you to be part of our mission of developing innovative, principled, and insightful leaders who change lives, change organizations, and change the world.
Success at the GSB is defined by The GSB Way - a commitment to shared purpose, community, and excellence in all that we do. We seek individuals who elevate themselves and those around them through the practice of academic candor, generous collaboration, and bringing curiosity and rigor to solving meaningful problems. At the GSB, impact means taking ownership, and contributing to a purpose-driven, collaborative, and high-performing community in service to the institution’s mission.
The GSB Admissions Office is seeking a Digital Marketing and Analytics Lead who thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, and storytelling. In this role, you will serve as the technical and strategic architect of our digital marketing ecosystem for MBA and MSx programs—owning everything from website content strategy and CRM operations to analytics infrastructure and agency partnerships.
This isn't a role where you simply report on what happened; you'll be the person who figures out why it happened and what we should do next. You will translate complex data into compelling narratives that shape strategy, optimize every stage of the prospective student journey, and build the measurement frameworks that determine where we invest our resources and how we improve our impact. Your work will directly influence whether talented individuals around the world discover Stanford GSB, engage deeply with our programs, submit inquiries, and ultimately decide to apply.
The ideal candidate is marketer, analyst and systems thinker. You're energized by turning data into insights. You love building elegant processes that make complex operations run smoothly. You're comfortable presenting findings to senior leadership and equally comfortable diving into Google Analytics 4 to troubleshoot a tracking issue. You can write a compelling email subject line, design an A/B test to prove which one performs better, and then synthesize those learnings into recommendations that improve our entire email strategy.
You'll work at the heart of a collaborative, mission-driven team where your technical expertise will be valued and your strategic voice will be heard. You'll partner closely with admissions colleagues, GSB marketing and web teams who bring creative and technical know-how and external agencies who execute our paid media strategy. You'll be the connective tissue—the person who ensures our website tells a coherent story, our CRM sends the right message at the right time, our analytics tell us what's working, and our agency partners are delivering results worth the investment.
This role requires someone who is both detail-obsessed and big-picture oriented. You'll need to ensure pixel-perfect data hygiene in our CRM while simultaneously thinking about how our content strategy ladders up to enrollment goals. You'll troubleshoot form integrations one day and present conversion funnel analysis to the Associate Dean the next. If you're someone who finds satisfaction in both the craft of building something technically sound and the impact of driving meaningful results, this role is for you.
The budgeted salary for this position is $138,000-$150,000 annually.
Duties unique to this role:
- Serve as the strategic owner of the MBA and MSx admissions website experience, developing content strategy, managing the editorial calendar, leading annual content audits, and optimizing the prospective student journey from first visit to inquiry submission.
- Own the marketing CRM platform (e.g. Slate) as both administrator and strategist, building email campaigns and nurture journeys, designing audience segmentation and personalization strategies, and maintaining data integrity across systems and integrations.
- Lead the relationship with digital marketing agencies, serving as day-to-day point of contact, providing performance analysis across paid search, social, display and programmatic channels, and making data-informed recommendations on budget allocation and channel mix.
- Design and systematize the analytics and reporting infrastructure that powers decision-making across GSB Admissions, including building recurring dashboards, defining KPIs at each funnel stage, and translating data into actionable narratives for leadership and program stakeholders.
- Drive continuous optimization through experimentation and testing, designing and executing A/B and multivariate tests on web pages, forms, and email campaigns, then interpreting results and translating them into improvements that increase conversion and engagement.
