Performance, Systems and AI · Fluent Central, Cape Town

Reports to: Head of Commercial Operations

Location: Fluent Central, Cape Town (office-based, with flexibility under our Work from Home policy)

About Fluent

Fluent is a hospitality management company. We operate Our Collection of design-led serviced apartments across Cape Town on behalf of the Partners who own them. Our Guests come to live in the city for the length of their Stay, not simply to visit it. Our promise is Living Local. Staying Longer.

We serve two customers, the Guest who stays with us, and the Partner whose apartment we manage.

The role

We are looking for a digital marketer who treats spend as an investment and can prove its return. You will own Fluent's digital presence end to end: the website, paid advertising, tracking and reporting, and the systems and AI tools that tie them together. Your work will be judged on confirmed bookings and revenue.

What you will be responsible for
  • Direct booking growth. Grow the share of revenue that comes through Fluent's own channels, measured monthly against agreed targets.
  • Paid advertising that pays back. Plan, run and optimise campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and other relevant platforms, with every campaign reported against cost per booking and return on ad spend.
  • Tracking you can trust. Build and maintain a clean measurement setup (GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion APIs, consistent UTM structure) that links spend to confirmed bookings in our booking engine and property management system.
  • The website. Own the Fluent website as a commercial asset: content, booking flow, page speed, search performance and uptime, working with external developers where needed.
  • Systems and automation. Connect our marketing, CRM, email and reporting tools so that data moves without manual work, and every Guest enquiry is captured and followed up.
  • Responsible use of AI. Use AI tools to raise the speed and quality of content, analysis and campaign work, with clear human review and full compliance with POPIA.
  • Clear reporting. Produce a monthly performance report for leadership showing what was spent, what it returned, and what will change next month.

What you bring

Essential

  • At least four years in digital marketing, with direct responsibility for paid media budgets.
  • A track record of tying ad spend to real revenue, with examples you can walk us through.
  • Hands-on skill with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.
  • Experience managing a bespoke website, including SEO and performance.
  • Practical, everyday use of AI tools in marketing work
  • Comfort with numbers, you build your own dashboards and can explain them simply.
  • Excellent written English.

Desirable

  • Experience in hospitality, travel or short-stay accommodation, including OTA channels.
  • Experience with marketing automation and integration tools
  • Knowledge of server-side tracking and attribution modelling.
  • Working knowledge of POPIA as it applies to marketing data.

How we work

We are a small, disciplined team with high standards and a long-term view. We value people who take ownership, say what they see, and take initiative on action. You will have direct access to leadership and real influence over how Fluent continues to grow.

How to apply

Send your CV and a short cover note to marketing@fluentliving.com. In your note, tell us about one campaign where you can show exactly what was spent and what it returned.
