Position Summary
Red Moon Marketing is seeking a Digital Marketing Intern for a paid, part-time, 10-week internship with our digital team during the spring semester of 2027. This hands-on opportunity allows you to learn and apply digital marketing practices, contribute to real client projects, and build a portfolio of your work.
Collaborating with experienced team members, you will gain exposure to planning, building, managing, and optimizing paid social, programmatic advertising, and paid search campaigns. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, eager to learn, and excited to turn ideas and data into effective marketing campaigns.
Internship Details
Employment Type: Paid, part-time internship
Duration: 10 weeks during Spring Semester 2027
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Location: Hybrid, based in our Charlotte office, with 2–4 days in the office per week and flexibility around your class schedule

Key Responsibilities
· Assist with campaign setup, monitoring, and optimization across paid social, paid search, and programmatic platforms, including Google Ads, The Trade Desk, and Yahoo DSP, under the guidance of the digital team.
· Analyze campaign data, identify performance trends, and help develop recommendations to improve results.
· Draft basic advertising copy and create or adapt simple creative assets using tools such as Canva.
· Prepare internal and client-facing presentations, campaign reports, and project updates.
· Attend team, agency, and client meetings; document discussions, decisions, and follow-up tasks.
· Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and collaborate with account supervisors and internal teams to bring those ideas to life.
· Build positive working relationships with colleagues, client teams, media representatives, and vendors.
· Research advertising trends, media strategies, ad networks, and emerging digital tools; share relevant ideas with the team.
· Support experiential marketing events on occasion and travel as needed for assigned projects.
What You Will Learn
By the end of the internship, you will have a practical understanding of how digital media is bought and sold, how campaigns are planned and executed, and how performance data guides optimization. You will also gain experience collaborating with agency teams and contributing to work for nationally recognized brands.

Requirements
· Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
· Interest in digital marketing and a foundational understanding of the media landscape.
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Comfort using Excel to analyze data, create charts and pivot tables, and use formulas such as VLOOKUP and CONCATENATE.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, and comfort using or learning Canva and similar design tools.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative approach, and enthusiasm for the work.
· Creative critical thinking skills, initiative, and a commitment to producing quality work.
· Willingness to learn new software, advertising platforms, and digital marketing technologies.
· Availability to meet the hybrid work schedule, assist with occasional experiential events, and travel when needed.
· Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
