Job Description - Digital Media Engagement Coordinator (Hybrid) (822958) Job Description Digital Media Engagement Coordinator (Hybrid) - ( 822958 ) Description Digital Media Engagement Coordinator (Hybrid) Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is looking for a Digital Media Engagement Coordinator with experience working in a fast-paced, structured environment. The coordinator should be a passionate storyteller obsessed with finding and telling great stories across multiple digital platforms, and an ability to collaborate effectively and think strategically. The coordinator reports to the Director of Strategic Communications. They support digital media engagement planning and execution across the agency to maintain TWC’s position as a strong creative and amplification partner across the Texas state agency network of professionals. While teleworking is allowed, much of your work will be done in our headquarters on the north lawn of the Texas State Capitol in Austin. Some travel is expected. What You’ll Do: -The Digital Media Engagement Coordinator (Information Specialist IV) performs advanced (senior-level) informational and communications work. Work involves coordinating the research, writing, editing, and production of content and materials for release to media channels and for use by the agency, the public, and other agencies. This position works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. -With 4,700 employees focused on providing a noble public service mission that improves the quality of life for millions of Texans, there is a lot of available content to create and share. The coordinator should be able to meet deadlines, anticipate agency needs and develop success metrics. -The Digital Media Engagement Coordinator is part of the Communications Department which delivers timely, accurate, accessible, and convenient information about the Texas Workforce Commission’s programs and services to the public, media, and internal customers. -The key duties for this position include building, planning, and executing the development of digital media plans and success metrics, understanding digital media platforms, audience discovery and identifying appropriate content and distribution channels to achieve desired results. The coordinator is expected to: -Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices -Monitor all digital marketing channels -Create reports and make suggestions for engagement improvement based on assigned account performance -Develop and improve online content, considering SEO and Google Analytics and other metrics -Provide guidance and consultations for internal and external agency customers to maximize desired results -Listen and engage in appropriate # topics relating to the interests of TWC -Identify (and create, when necessary) multi-media assets for maximized engagement -Suggest and develop new campaigns across multiple channels -Work across multiple divisions to identify digital engagement opportunities -Perform other duties as needed What You’ll Earn: -The salary is $4,830.00-$5,350.00/month -Benefits include medical insurance, sick leave, vacation leave, and various retirement plans. Minimum Qualifications: -Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with courses in journalism, public relations, English, advertising, communications, social science, or a related field plus three years of full-time experience in positions involving such activities as writing, scripting, editing, media relations, journalism, public relations, advertising, preparation of public information releases and reports, and other news materials, or performing related activities in a public or private enterprise. -One year of full-time experience in positions involving such activities as writing, scripting, editing, media relations, journalism, public relations, advertising, preparation of public information releases and reports, and other news materials. YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH: -Knowledge of agency functions, policies, and procedures -Knowledge of news and communication media -Knowledge of various social media platforms -Knowledge of editing and preparing informational material -Knowledge of copy layout; and of publishing and broadcast industries. -Skill in editorial and design concepts and practices -Skill in the use of a computer and applicable software. -Ability to research and prepare information -Ability to design communication plans and materials related to the goals and priorities of the agency -Ability to compose usable content for the Web and social media -Ability to prepare copy and scripts -Ability to design broad communications plans and materials -Ability communicate effectively.
